Stop wars I'm scared.

The article I'm going to render comes from English online-newspaper "Vox World".The headline of the article is "NO,Turkey shooting down a Russian warplane will not spark World War III.
The author of the article is Max Fisher .The article was published on November 25,2015.
The article touches upon wars  and international relationships between Russia and NATO countries.
The main idea of the article is to give readers some information of international situation and to  reassure them that nowadays acts of Turkey ,Russia and NATO countries would not spark World War III.

The author starts by telling the reader about the incident that had hapened on November 24 ,when Russian warplane was shooting down by Turkey on its border with Syria.

He tells that there are majority of  reasons why people worry about starting World War III.

The first reason he stresses is Turkey is NATO ally, which means that other NATO countries as USA,Germany can be obliged to come to its defense against an external attack.Next the author emits that the tensions between Russia and NATO have been rising for two years, and now both are bombing on opposite sides in Syria. It was the second reason.

The author's attention is focused on that there is no serious reasons for war.Further he proves his point of view .

The first reason he stresses is the stakes are just too low.He tells that neither Russia nor NATO would not care enough for bombing one warplane and lives of two pilots to risk a major war.

The next important factor he stresses is that the Syria-Turkish border is so far from Russia or from central Europe and there is just zero risk that either side could misperceive this as the start of something bigger. Then the author offers the third reason why this conflict would not spark the war.He tells that the number of Russian forces located in or near Syria is quite small and the US forces in the region are also relatively modest. In my opinion it's the most powerful proof.
In conclusion the author allocates the maon proofs of his point of view:Neither Russia nor NATO has enough at stake to escalate to anything near the point of war. Neither has the physical military capability to do so in this region. And because the Syria-Turkey border is so far removed from either Russia or Europe, there is very little risk of unintended escalation.
As for me I found this article very interesting. I'm interested in politics, especially nowadays events can't be passed unnoticed.I consider the information to be very actual and important not only for me but for majority of people for all over the world.

Gurova

The article I’m going to give a review of is taken from " The Telegraph".
The headline of the article is "School for deaf children under threat following funding shortfall". The authors of the article are Josie Gurney-Read, Alan Tovey. It was published on 7th november 2015. The author  in the article touches upon the problem of closing a school providing specialist education for deaf children.
The story begins that with the statement  that some 120 staff have been made redundant as education charity. The authors start by telling the reader that the school providing specialist education for deaf children is at risk of closure unless a long term funding solution can be found. And they introduce the John Townsend Trust, an educational charity which operates The Royal School for Deaf Children Margate along with Westgate College for Deaf People, was placed in administration as a financial review of the trust is undertaken. The authors point out that unless funding is found within weeks, the schools and other services could face closure. The authors mention that The Royal School for Deaf Children provides a specialist education and residential environment for some 55 children aged four to 19 who are deaf, have a hearing impediment or communication difficulty, while Westgate College for Deaf People offers specialist educational services to 55 young people between the ages of 19 and 22. Moreover, each child and young person at the schools works alongside a staff member to meet their individual needs. According to the article  the Care Quality Commission  took urgent enforcement action to limit the services which can be provided at Westgate College for Deaf People and the Road Project. To stress the situation the authors give a warning that the school will continue to work very closely with Kent County Council and health colleagues to ensure that people using the services receive the service to which they are entitled. The authors conclude by saying that Alongside education provision, the John Townsend Trust runs a range of community living services, including the The ROAD project for deaf people, and supported living accommodation.
And they make it clear that the Trust also operates four charity shops in Kent.
I found this atricle rather important and interesting. Taking into consideration the fact that the school can be closed, I was shocked. From me point of view it's very inportant that there're such schools which provide a special education for children who are deaf. As  far as I am able to judge, the goverment should finance such schools because it's necessary that deaf people will be able to be a part of society.
Dear friends, what do you think about this article? Do you know any organizations which help deaf people in our town?

The headline of the article is "Surge in number of UK adults with diabetes". The author of the article is Dr. Andreas Eenfeldt. It was published in "The gurdian" on 14th November 2015.
The main idea of the article is the problem of diabetes and researching of new treatments for the condition.
The author starts by telling the reader that the number of UK adults with diabetes has risen by more than 65% since 2005, figures show. Almost 3.5 million people are living with diabetes, according to analysis of GP data for the British Heart Foundation (BHF). The author writes that the main causes of this disease are obesity and unhealthy lifestyles. He also states that having diabetes doubles a person’s risk of a heart attack. According to the text many professors are anxious about the blood vessel damage associated with diabetes and hope to find a new way to treat it. The article goes on to say that a separate research from University College London found sociocultural factors including time pressure, commuting time and where people live played a role in the risk of developing diabetes. Experts know that living a healthy lifestyle and maintaining a healthy weight reduces the chances of developing type 2 diabetes.
In conclusion the author points out that diabetes remains one of the biggest health challenges of our time. We must protect the health of the nation by taking urgent steps to get to grips with it or we will continue to see more and more people dying before their time.
I found this article not only interesting but also very useful and informative for people. It makes the readers to take thoughts about their health and maybe change something in their lifestyles to avoid diabetes and other diseases that are connected with it.

Dear friends, please, answer the questions:

  • Why the problem of diabetes is so urgent nowadays?
  • What should people do to avoid diseases and to be healthy?
  • Do you believe that professors will find a new effective way to treat diabetes?

The headline of the article is «Holiday guide to Costa Rica: beaches and adventures, plus hotels and restaurants». The author of the article is Sorrel Downer. It was published in The Guardian on the 28th of November 2015.The author gives the reader some information about the features of tours to Costa Rica, what is its true beauty, beaches, as well as giving advices where to stay and describes many other interesting beautiful places in Costa Rica.
The author starts by telling about the essential itinerary for Costa Rica because every itinerary leads to its "treasure". In addition, the author describes the terrain and gives the characteristics of the country's area. Continued the author describes in more detail the most popular tourist cities and natural attractions citing as an example the most interesting restaurants, theaters, shops, hotels, etc..  According to the text, the first place is worth visiting in Costa Rica is old San José, because It has its sights, from Museo de Jade (Plaza de la Democracía) and Museo del Oro (beneath Plaza de la Cultura), both with unrivalled but unsung pre-Colombian treasures, to the warren of the Mercado Central, and the pay-to-view grandeur of the Teatro Nacional. Further on a quarter of Costa Rica is protected parks and reserve, the crown jewel is Corcovado national park, 164 square miles of rainforest in the Osa peninsula, fringed by empty Pacific beach, but the most interesting for everyone can be Cloud forests which is the classic cloud forest choice, and the most child-friendly, with sky tram, sky walk and, for over-eights, canopy zip lines.  The article goes on to say that Costa Rica has two coasts and more than 300 beaches, some the domain of turtles. The most popular are the jungly Costa Ballena on the Central Pacific (an open-plan beachfront space with bunks and hammocks, wooden floors, ocean view) and the more laid-back eight-mile stretch of Caribbean coast between lively Puerto Viejo and sleepy Manzanillo (turquoise sea, parrots, jungle cabins, nightlife, surf camps, gingerbread beach cottages). The author outlines other two visiting places for taking great impressions. Only one thing beats the thrill of seeing Volcán Arenal erupt, and that’s while you’re sitting in a hot spring. “The hot spring industry sprang up as a way of entertaining frustrated visitors who arrived to find the perfect cone shrouded in cloud.”- The author wrote.

I found this article very interesting, inspiring and dream about a rest on a sunny beaches of Costa Rica.

Please, answer the questions; What would you first visited in your holidays, if it were possible to visit Costa Rica? Why?
The headline of the article I have read is « Thousands of cancer patients 'too poor to celebrate Christmas'».
It was published in Press Association on the 30th of November.
The purpose of the article is to give the reader some information about a heavy financial position of people with cancer.
At the beginning of the story the author touches a subject of a bad financial and social status of people of cancer patients. He says that people with cancer will feel “cold and lonely” this Christmas .
Then the author gives some statistics:
Almost 170,000 people in the UK with cancer are unable to join in special family events such as Christmas due to a lack of cash, according to Macmillan Cancer Support.
Its survey of almost 1,000 people living with cancer found 9% had to miss out on visiting family and friends because they could not afford it.
Other research of more than 1,600 people who have been in touch with Macmillan found 28% were unable to adequately heat their home in winter due to money worries.
The charity has previously found 83% people with cancer are on average £570 a month worse off as a result of their diagnosis.
The article goes on to say that Macmillan said the government must rethink its plan on welfare, which it said would take £30 a week away from people with cancer who are too ill to work. People with cancer can lose hundreds of pounds each month because of their diagnosis.
In conclusion the author writes about Department for Work and Pensions’ solution that the vast majority of those with cancer will not be affected by the changes and won’t be expected to look for work, and no one already claiming employment and support allowance will be worse off under these reforms.
I found the article useful because this topic is very relevant. Currently there are a lot of people with cancer who do not receive support neither from the state nor from their relatives. I feel sorry for them because they feel lonely and really need better conditions. The government should take all measures in other to improve their position. If the government ignores it, there should be some charity organizations which will gather some donations. This idea is put into practice in many cities, and our town is not an exception. Every New Year holidays people collect some presents for those who can't afford them and send it to the hospitals and other insitutions for people in need. It is a very good tradition. I hope that people with cancer will also be able to find support.
Please, answer the question : why do you think the government does't want to provide support for people with cancer?
The headline of the article I've given a review of is 'Denver shooting: Aparahoe High School gunman intended to harm many people'. Its author is Nikhil Kumar. It was published in 'Independent' 15 December 2013.
The article under discussion is devoted to the problem of teenagers' dangerous antisocial behavior. At the beginning of the article the author describes the accident which took place at a Denver area high school. 18-year-old Karl Pierson arrived at Arapahoe High School in the Denver suburb of Centennial around midday on Friday, armed with a pump-action shotgun, a machete and three Molotov cocktails, and critically injured a 17-year old student Claire Davis before turning his gun on himself. The author asserts that the gunman's intention was more devastating as he was going to harm multiple individuals.
Furthermore, the author points out that the gun used in this attack also took part in several more frightening accidents such as a bloody 1999 high school shooting. Moreover, the author dwells on fact that the gun had been bought legally at a local store. To stress the situation in conclusion the author makes it clear that under Colorado law, shotguns can be sold to 18 year olds, while the minimum age to purchase a handgun is 21.
I found the article of a great value as, unfortunately, there are lots of examples of such horrible actions mainly made  by young people. The main justification that such gunmen mention is their psychological trauma which they have got in the childhood. However, I consider these people don't have any excuses to behave this way and none of us has a right to kill or injure each other.
Dear friends, I'm rather concerned that such people are around us and our world still continues their upbringing and let them behave the way they want. What do you think pushes people for a crime? How can we cope with this problem and remain in safety?

The headline of the article is «London gallery to show recreation of Joan Miró's Mallorcan studio».
The author of the article is Maev Kennedy. It was published in The Guardian on the 30th of November.
The main idea of this article is the value of recreation of the studio of the great Spanish artist Joan Miró in London. The author gives a reader some information about Miro’s life, works, masterpieces and Miro’s grandson’s memories.
The author starts by telling some important elements that are recreated in the London’s studio. The author points out the dazzling Mallorcan light, streaming in through huge windows, bouncing off the steep slope above and the sea far below and the mummified cat hanging on a wall. The article describes the studio’s interior, that had been reproduces by the photographs taken in 1970s by Jean-Marie del Moral. The author states that two brothers decided to reproduce this studio. Their names are: Eduard and Jordi Mayoral. As Jordi said, they wanted to find a way to make people feel the space, but brothers hope they will then go to experience the real place in Mallorca. According to the text there are not so much original things in the interior, the majority are the replicas. Nevertheless they hope they will find someone who will be able to to weave a copy of the sinister palm leaf sun-face that hangs from the ceiling, identical to one owned by Picasso. The article goes on to say that Miro hadn’t always had a big personal studio. He used to rent some flats with broken windows only to have a possibility of drawing anytime he wanted it. He was poor and couldn’t have a family because he understood that they won’t be able to do what usual Spanish did. But some time later he became a famous artist and was familiar with Picasso.
I found this article very informative and life-affirming. You never know what can happens to you but the main thing in the life it’s a hope. I admire Eduard and Jordi Mayoral. They are real heroes of our time. It’s such a worthy action and they make a great contribution to the arts.
Please, answer the questions: Is it actual to reproduce studios of great artists in other countries? How do you treat replicas in the museums? Don’t you find it unworthy? Why?
